As your Police Chief, it is my privilege to serve the residents, visitors, and businesses of Austin, alongside the dedicated men and women of the Austin Police Department. Our mission is simple: to make Austin a safe, vibrant, and inclusive community where everyone feels secure and respected.
We believe that effective policing is built on a foundation of trust and partnership with the community we serve. Every day, our officers work hard to prevent crime, respond to emergencies, and engage with the public to ensure safety. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all that we do.
In addition to our core law enforcement responsibilities, we prioritize community engagement and crime prevention strategies that focus on collaboration and transparency. We recognize that true public safety is a shared responsibility, and by working together with residents, local organizations, and businesses, we can continue to build stronger, safer neighborhoods throughout Austin.
