Hwy 38 and Lincoln Traffic Light Schedule

July 6th to August 12th, 2026
Roadway and pavement improvements, which include concrete island construction and median
modifications, will be completed. Traffic signal pole bases will be installed in the new concrete
islands. Temporary traffic controls will be used to provide safe work areas at the intersection
during this time. The current intersection striping and crosswalk locations will remain so the
intersection may continue to function as it does presently.
August 13th to October 11th, 2026
Work will continue outside of the roadway surface to prepare for the installation of traffic signal
poles, mast arms, and equipment. It’s expected that disruptions to traffic will be limited during this
time. Work will include the installation of underground conduit and wiring as well as the placement
of pole and equipment bases.
October 12th to November 15rd, 2026
It is expected that the traffic signal poles, mast arm, and equipment will be delivered and installed
during this period of the work. Temporary traffic controls will be installed, and travel lanes will be
temporarily closed while work is performed adjacent to and over the roadway surface.
November 16th to December 1st, 2026
Work will be performed to bring the project to substantial completion. The final intersection
striping, crosswalks, and signage will be installed. Testing and commissioning of the traffic signal
will be performed. The project has a final completion date of December 31, 2026.
