USDA Lonoke County Commodities Update

4/29/2020

Instead of our usual 9 sites for our TEFAP commodity distribution, we will only have 2 sites, due to Covid-19. One will be at the Lonoke County Fairgrounds and the other at the Ward Chamber. Although there will be only 2 sites, our clients are welcome to drive to these sites and get their food. In addition, to our two TEFAP sites, we will also have an additional site for our Emergency Food Box Distribution. They will be in the same two towns-Lonoke and Ward, but different locations. Lonoke's site will be at the Old High School Gym, located behind the Gina Cox Center, and Ward's will be at their Water Treatment Center, about a half mile from the Chamber. All 4 sites are contactless, drive thru sites, where social distancing will be observed. They will remain in their car and workers will place the food in their vehicle.

So, there is an incentive for the drive some of our clients will make, they will be able to get food at both locations!

They will need to bring their ID and answer three questions while in their vehicle : 1. Name 2. Income 3. Household Size

*The Emergency Food box will have frozen meat, veggies, toilet paper and the income limit for it is substantially higher.
